Alpha Echo Completes Verification flight
G-BOAE, The 2nd British Airways Concorde to be modified, has Successfully completed its first verification flight in and out of London Heathrow.
Alpha Echo flying as Flight BA9185P took of on runway 09R at 11:00 (aprox) and returned a little over 3 hrs later at 14:02, again on runway 09R which is the south runway at Heathrow.
British Airways now has 2 operational Concordes that have had their CofA returned. The Third Aircraft in the fleet to be modifed, Alpha Golf, will fly in the next few weeks; as long as there are no major issues during the pre-flight testing.
