FULL AIR FRANCE PRESS RELEASE on Return of CofA
Air France is very pleased with the decision of the French Civil Aviation
Authorities to reinstate Concorde's airworthiness certificate.
The modifications proposed by the manufacturers have been approved by both
the French and British Authorities' certification services (DGAC and the
Civil Aviation Authority), and are the subject of airworthiness directives
announced today.
The Fox Bravo will be the first of Air France's Concordes to have its airworthiness certificate reinstated.
These modifications will be applied to each of Air France's four other Concordes, which will in turn have their airworthiness certificates reinstated individually.
Air France will continue to train crews, in order to resume commercial service between Paris and New York as from November.
